Condolence From: Lauren Hammel Erdman
Condolence: Barbara,
I am so sorry to hear about Judy. I just saw her obituary on the Henninger site. My brother, Stu Hammel passed away the day after Judy after a short, horrible fight with cancer. I can remember you & Judy were friends with Stu & had some good times together. I remember going to the after school "day camp" at the YWCA where the 2 of you were counselors. That seems like a lifetime ago. I can feel for you & know what you're going through. It is so sad losing our sibling.

Condolence: Hi Barbara, so sorry to hear about Judy. Do you remember my name, maybe not? You and Judy went to summer camp with me in 1957 or 58 at the Reading YWCA camp in Hamburg. We all went for the whole summer. I have pictures of me between you two & we are done up for an event with Daniel Boone hats made out of paper bags & beards & mustaches painted on. My Mom & Dad worked at the camp that summer. I was just thinking about you two in November when I saw names, that I thought might be you two, as honorary chairs for someone running for office in Exeter Twp. Hope all is well with you.

Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences to the Van Tosh family. Words can never express the sadness we feel in knowing our dear friend and neighbor, Judy, is no longer with us. She has enriched our lives in so many ways. We were honored to know her. May God bless you all.

Condolence: Judy was my colleague and friend at Northeast Junior High School. Judy was always a caring individual that showed an honest concern for everyone. I also had the honor of knowing her parents and it was easy to tell where Judy's kindness and zest for life came from. A large part of her legacy will be the positive imprint she left on the many students that she taught. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to know Judy for so many years.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear about Judy. My memories of her and Barbara go all the way back to grade school. The last time I saw her, at the Reading Hospital Cancer Center, she was feisty and cheerful. She fought a good fight. All my condolences to Harry and Louise.
