Gary Paul Ettel, born May 4th 1953 at the Reading Hospital, passed away suddenly early Monday morning, December 7, 2015. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Jennifer Ettel, his daughter, Nichole Phillips, his son, Jason Ettel, his granddaughter, Avaline Ettel, his parents Paul and June Ettel and his three sisters, Linda Stephen, Sharon Hummel and Cathy Wolfe.
He was raised on Tulpehocken St. in Reading and was a long time affiliate of the Olivet Boys and Girl Club, which he attended as an adolescent.
He was retired from DANA Corp. and was currently working for the Reading Eagle.
He was an avid hunter and bowler. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and was a member of many clubs in the area. He was a true family man and friend to all. We all lost him way too early in his life at age 62.
Services will be held at Henninger Funeral Home, 220 North 5th Street, Reading, Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Guest will be welcome for a Celebration of Life luncheon immediately following the service.
