Shirley D. “Grammy” Smith, 83, passed away on June 24, 2018 in the Laurel Center, Hamburg.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy (Warmkessel) Gensemer.

She is survived by one son, two daughters, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-nephews.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 27 in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. 229 N. 5th St., Reading. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 601 N. Front Street, Reading, PA 19601 or the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
