Jane D. Forry, 100, of Wyomissing Hills, passed September 16th in Columbia Cottage.

She was the widow of John H. Forry, whom she married on May 30, 1947.

Born in Willimantic, CT, she was the daughter of C. Aubrey DeLong and Mary (Hassinger) DeLong.

She graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and General Science. She went on to teach science and home economics at several local school districts including Governor Mifflin, Reading and Wyomissing.

Jane was a member of the former First United Church of Christ, Reading and was active in the Wyomissing Garden Club.

She is survived by sons, John T. Forry husband of Kathy Forry of Exeter Twp., son, James R. Forry husband of Susan Forry of Florida and a daughter, Anne (Forry) Raley wife of James G. Raley of New Jersey; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas S. DeLong and a sister, Janice D. Diehm.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading, PA. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow funeral in Pleasant View Cemetery.
