Scott C. Ulmer, 65, of Bern Township, passed away Monday, November 23rd in Penn State Health St. Joseph Hospital. He was the son of the late Clarence C. Ulmer and Fern K. (Hettinger) Ulmer, born December 13, 1949 in West Reading, PA.
He is survived by a brother, Randall P. Ulmer, husband of Charlene A. Ulmer; nieces, Michelle (Ulmer) Parker, wife of Charles Parker, Jr. and Denise L. Magalotti, wife of Ernest Magalotti. In addition, there are two grandnieces, Lily Parker and Emily Magalotti, as well as two grandnephews, Pierce Parker and Cameron Magalotti.
He graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1967, Wyoming Seminary in 1968, and Syracuse University in 1972 with a degree in Business.
He was a former pilot for Reading Aviation. He also flew charter flights as well.
Scott’s interests we HAM radio, flying radio control airplanes, and model rockets. The desert surrounding his winter home in Arizona was scene of many rocket launches, some of which, reached the altitude of 15,000 feet.
Scott of “Fern” as he was called by his closest friends, will be greatly missed.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
