Angel L. Ortiz, 83, of Reading passed September 6, 2017 in Reading Hospital.

He was the spouse of Nilda L. (Rosado) Ortiz.

Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Juan L. Ortiz and Antonia Figueroa.

He last worked at Luden’s Candy in production.
Angel was a member of St. Peter’s RCC, Reading. He was a kind gentle man who was loved and will always be loved by all. He loved to go fishing, getting together with his family. He especially loved his cat Puchi.

He is also survived by daughters, Araceliz Rodriguez, Awilda Rodriguez, Mylta Velazquez and Marisa Santiago; sons, Angelo Figueroa, Frank Figueroa, Julio Figueroa and Luis Santiago Jr.; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by two sons, Angel L. Rodriguez and Richard Ortiz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 AM in St. Peter’s RCC.
Viewings will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and Monday 8 to 9 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. 229 N. 5th St., Reading.

Interment will follow Mass in Charles Evans Cemetery.
