Dorothy Mast Johnston, 93, of Wyomissing died March 7th. She was the widow of Peyton Johnston, who died in 1997. She was born in Reading, PA June 26, 1924 to Walter Mast & Frances (Kerr) Mast. She was a resident of Wyomissing and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church since the early 1950’s. She lived at The Highlands of Wyomissing since 2011. She is survived by her children, Douglas P. Johnston and his wife Karen of Mohnton, PA, Walter M. Johnston and his wife Susan of State College, PA, Ann M. Tachovsky and her husband David of Emmaus, PA; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor “Lyn” Seasholtz, resident of The Highlands. Dorothy graduated from Cedar Crest College in 1948 with a degree in Home Economics.
Dorothy loved people, community service and her family. She always was thankful, patient and willing to help others. She will be missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing on the 19th of March at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
