Condolence From: Mary Elliott
Condolence: Dear John and Nicole. I just found out about your dear moms passing. She was such a wonderful lady. It was a honor to be her caregiver in her home in Boston. She taught me a lot. And had such wonderful stories to tell. Take solace in knowing that now she is free and no longer in pain. I am forever grateful to have had her in my life. Mary

Condolence From: Sandra Beyerle, Ph.D.
Condolence: In the early 90s and during my graduate school classes at CIIS, I took several of Elinor's classes in the Women's Spirituality Program and got to know her personally. I admired Elinor's scholarship, intuition, and the way in which she trail-blazed with clarity and determination. As a female student, I found her classes to be nothing short of revelatory and indispensable for a psychologist-in-training. These many years I have kept her wisdom with me as I work clinically with women and men alike . . . there is no substitute for doing your part to dismantle and reform a patriarchal society.

Condolence From: Rajashree Ghosh
Condolence: As a Scholar at the WSRC, Brandeis, we were deeply saddened by the news of Elinor's passing. We were enriched by her scholarship, her knowledge of art, culture and history around the world. I will miss engaging with her on cultural belief systems and critiquing dominant philosophies of knowledge. She was a powerhouse of intellect and she leaves a vacuum in her field. We join the family in grieving her. Please also accept our deepest condolences. Rajashree
