She was the daughter of the late Paul Owens Sr. and Mozelle (Nichols) Jenkins.
She was the youngest of 4 siblings, who pre-deceased her.
She is survived by 3 sons, Leon Appling Jr., Lemont Appling and James C. Kirkland II, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild all of Reading, PA.
