John, lovingly known by many as "Poppy," was original from Wernersville, PA, but resided in Mohnton, where he lived with his longtime love Janice Acker who passed away in 2013. John served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. After returning from service, John worked as a General Contractor for various Companies. He was an avid Nascar fan, more specifically a Jeff Gordan fan. When Jeff retired, Poppy quickly admired the feistiness of Joey Logano. He also enjoyed cheering on the Philadelphia EAGLES and Penn State. Poppy was a man of very few words, but he frequently said, "I guess," "dingbat," and "adios." He loved fishing and hunting and watching old Western Movies. John will be sadly missed by all his Stepchildren, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. Adios Pop, see you on the other side.
