Obituary for Nancy K. Scott (Keith)

Nancy K. Scott, 86, of Reading, passed December 19th in Penn State Health St. Joseph’s.

She was the widow of John C. Scott and was also pre-deceased by her longtime companion, James F. Jackson.

Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of Levi and Hattie (Rollman) Keith.

Nancy was a graduate of Reading High School, 1952 and later graduate of R.A.C.C. and Kutztown University with a degree in teaching.

She had worked for Luden’s Candy and later spent over 29 years working for the Reading School District as a Headstart teacher, retiring in 1993.

She volunteered many years of time to the veterans of Pennsylvania and Berks County. She was a past president from 1995-1996 of the Ladies Auxiliary of the PA American Legion and was a Life Member of the VFW Aux. #6558, Womelsdorf.

She also volunteered many hours to the Salvation Army as a cook and volunteer.

Nancy is survived by her children, Michael B. Keith and wife Norma, John W. Keith, Shiryl Scott, C. Daniel Scott, Gregory K. Scott, Melissa K. Everett, LaDean Scott, Jaime Scott and Michelle Foster and husband Larry; sisters, Shirley Columbo and Helen Brown and husband Merle, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, godchildren, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Kim Minggia, Leah and Lamont Burns and special great grandson, Jackson Green.

She was pre-deceased by siblings, Lester, James, Alfred, Robert, Chester, Jack, Katherine, Deanna and Mildred.

Services and burial will be private.
