Obituary

Carol Ann Whitmoyer passed away on January 16th, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beautiful wife of Ron Whitmoyer to whom she was married for 59 years. She was the daughter of Esther (Fix) and Harry Heath.
After graduating in the class of 1957 from Reading High, she became a legal secretary, retiring in 2006. More recently she was the recording secretary for the Skyline Drive Corvette Club and the Keystone Thunderbird Club.
Carol had a tremendous loving heart that brought so much joy, laughter, and many smiles to anyone that she met. She had her own fantastic smile and infectious laugh. She loved to entertain family and friends, was an avid reader, gardener, sports fan and wonderful cook. She enjoyed vacationing in Sea Isle City and Hilton Head Island.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron, her sister Harriet Bendel, her cousin Jacquelyn Heath, two nieces and two nephews, her son Dr. Stephen Whitmoyer (husband of Victoria), and her daughter Tracey Therrien. She was Grammi to six grandchildren, Mary Kate, Jacob, Caroline and Laura Whitmoyer and Dylan and Erik Therrien, all of whom she adored. She will also be sorely missed by her beloved pet boxer, Lailamae.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held in the Spring, her favorite time of year.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Carol’s name to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 or One by One Cat Rescue, PO Box 272, Temple, PA 19560.
Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Sarah & I are deeply sadden at Carol's passing, what a bright sole she was. My fondest memory of Carol happened shortly after Sarah & I moved to Christman Road. I was walking my dogs and we were coming up on this “Lady & her crazy dog”. I could see she was worried and started back down her drive. I hollered at her that my dogs were friendly and she needn't worry and encouraged her to let the dogs meet... boy was she nervous about that, Laila was barking and carrying on... my dogs were pulling me towards Laila, wanting to meet this “crazy dog”... but all ended well, the dogs got along after a bit and Carol relaxed (a little) and we had our first chat as new neighbors. That was about 6 ½ years ago and Sarah & I have been very lucky to have know her and be friends with Carol & Ron... what an absolutely genuine couple. We will miss Carol very much!

Our deepest sympathy to Ron, Steve, Tracey, Vicki, Harriet and the rest of Carol’s beloved family. She was a bright , undaunted,, happy spirit to us and to anyone with whom she came in contact. We were friends, then we became family. We loved her. She loved her life with her family and she glowed when she spoke of them. She was infectiously optimistic. She was genuine. We will never forget and always be indebted to her for her dedication to her work. Our lose will be felt by many, especially by us.
