Jeffrey J. Germann, 71, of Lenhartsville, PA passed away at Tower Health on Feb. 15, 2021. Jeff was predeceased by his father, John S. Germann, and mother, Dorothy S. (Miller) Germann. He is survived by his sister Donna F. Germann and brother Frederick P. Germann.
Jeff was a 1967 graduate of Exeter H.S., Reiffton, PA. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA and graduated with an Associates Degree in Machine Processes. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology at Texas A&M University in 1971.
He worked at Reading Pattern Works and then for the Ingersoll-Rand Pump Division. Upon retirement he became self-employed in his hobby of model railroading. He repaired and collected model locomotives for clients. He enjoyed his membership of the Berks County Historical Society and was an avid reader of all things Reading Railroad. Jeff frequented antique car shows and won many trophies for his restoration of the '49 Mercury sold and entrusted to him by ex-Reading stock car driver/owner Red Hilbert.
