Obituary for Garry A. Simcox Jr.
Garry Arthur Simcox Jr. was a resident of Douglassville, PA. Garry died unexpectedly June 11, 2021 at the age of 32.
Garry Jr. is survived by his Father, Garry Arthur Simcox Sr. , Mother, Susan (Gray) Simcox, Sisters, Megan, Allyson, Niece Natalie, and fiancee Rachel Corcoran. Preceded in death by Grandmothers, Maryanne Fox, Joan Simcox, Great-Grandparents John and Helen Gabriel, George and Theresa Baumgard, Sara Nye.
Garry Jr. was born in Somers Point, New Jersey on March 6, 1989 to Garry Sr. and Sue Simcox. Garry Jr. lived in North Cape May, NJ until his family moved to Douglassville PA. Garry is a 2008 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. Garry was recently employed at Longhorn Restaurant. He had also previously worked at Fedex and Lowe’s.
Garry was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Friend and Fiance. He was a friend to everyone. Garry loved professional sports. He was a die hard #1 Eagles Fan. He also enjoyed the Flyers. He loved fishing and he was known to always catch the first fish. He was also learning to hunt. Garry enjoyed on-line gaming, and building computers. He liked to text people whenever he would think of them, like in the middle of the night. He always enjoyed halloween. Garry loved to jump out and scare people he knew. He loved decorating his house for holidays. Garry loved Rachel and was planning their life together. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Sunday July 18 at Hope United Methodist Church, 117 North Monocacy Creek Road, Douglassville PA 19518 . Condolences may be offered from 3PM till 4PM. Reverend Lou Hornburger will officiate. In remembrance of Garry Jr. please wear your favorite sports attire. In Lieu of flowers please donate to “The Gift of Life Foundation”.
