Michael Joseph Lis, Sr., age 61, died peacefully on August 21, 2021 at the Reading Hospital in Reading, PA holding hands with his children and next to his sister and niece.

Michael was born on September 10, 1959 in Reading, PA to Jan and Gertrude Lis. He grew up in East Reading with his two brothers and two sisters. As a child, he liked to fish, as well as, build and race stock cars. He earned a Master of Jewelry certificate from Bowman Technical School in 1979.

He enjoyed dining out and vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland and Panama City Beach, Fl. He was a fan of Philadelphia sports teams, crossword puzzles, and 70's soul music. Standing at 6'5", he was a gentle giant and a mild-mannered guy who loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter Brooklyn.

He is survived by his children, Michael Jr. and Leanne, son-in-law David, granddaughter Brooklyn, siblings Michelle, John, and Dan, brother-in-law Joseph, sister-in-laws Cindy and Christine, and many loved nieces, nephews, great niece, and great nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents and his sister Christine.
