Obituary for Joanne Blatt (Rutkowski)
Joanne (Rutkowski) Blatt, 73, passed April 26th in Reading Hospital, Tower Health.
She was the widow of Donald H. Blatt who passed on August 28, 2012. They were married on July 5, 1969 and celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Born in Daytona Beach, Florida, she was the daughter of Adam and Margaret (Beatty) Rutkowski.
Joanne graduated from the Bryland School of Cosmetology and the Berks Real Estate Institute.
She owned and operated two hair salons for over 30 years and later was a real estate agent and tax preparer at Liberty Tax.
She is survived by daughters, Shannon Blatt wife of Terry Smith, Barbi (Blatt) Kantner wife of Troy Kantner; grandchildren, Logan and Carissa Blatt and Kaia and Chloe Kantner; brothers, Paul Tibbetts and James Rutkowski. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Ronald and Robert Rutkowski.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9th in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc.,
229 N. 5th St., Reading, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
