Job F. Menges Jr, MD
On the evening of September 22, 2022, Job F. Menges Jr, MD passed away peacefully at the hospital after a loving and emotional visit from his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, who passed July 31, 2020 after a long battle with ALS.
Job was the son of Job F. Menges Sr, MD and Martha S. Menges. Job was an orthopedic surgeon for over 60 years. A graduate of Temple Medical School, he owned his own practice and operated out of the Reading Hospital where he also served as the Chief of Orthopedics.
Job was the oldest of four children, survived by Harry, Lucinda, and Martha.
Job was the loving father of two daughters, Nicole and Alissa; the proud grandfather of Logan, Zoey, and Harrison; and the supportive step-grandfather to Camryn and Leighton.
Job proudly served in the United States Army where he was stationed in France.
Job enjoyed being outdoors especially snowmobiling and fishing in Canada as well as spending time with his family sailing and jet skiing on the Chesapeake Bay. He was an avid lover and collector of trains. The most recent hobby Job adopted was wood carving.
Job F. Menges Jr, MD will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by friends, family, and patients, but he is reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Beverly.
A public viewing will be held on September 28th, 2022 at Henninger Funeral Home from 6-8pm.
