Obituary for Jerome Brown

Jerome Brown, 47 entered into God’s kingdom on April 14th,2023. He was born in Philadelphia on December 1, 1975, to Gwendolyn Perkins (nee Walter) and James R. Franklin, Sr.

Jerome, the most loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; daughters, Jaelyn Brown and Jade Brown; sons, Thomas Shanks and Jevon Brown; sisters, Tanya Goodwin, wife of Leon Goodwin, Teresa Brown, Elena Franklin, Angela Nicholson;brothers Anthony Brown and James R. Franklin,Jr. He was predeceased by his parents Gwendolyn Perkins and James Franklin. He also leaves to mourn a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Upon receiving his GED, Jerome went on to pursue his passion in electronics and received a degree in Electronics Engineering from PACE Institute in Reading, PA.

Jerome had a big personality and natural charisma and he loved to make people laugh. He loved fishing, watching the Sixers and the Eagles, and building computers. He focused on providing his children with the best life possible without worrying about himself.

Jerome was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, that loves him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.

A memorial service will take place on April 24th, with viewing from 9am to 11am and services immediately following the viewing. The services and viewing are at: Henninger Funeral Home,229 N 5th Street, Reading, Pa 19601. Repast to follow directly after services at 516 Bingaman Street, Reading, Pa 19602 (parking is at 416 Pearl street, Reading, Pa 19602).
