Obituary for Gene D. Schein
Gene D. Schein, 85, formerly of Reading, passed away May 19th at home with his daughter by his side.
He was the widower of Agnes J. (Cataldi) Schein.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Maxwell and Florence (Smith) Schein.
Gene was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1960 to 1962 in Berlin, Germany.
He loved playing dominoes, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and always had a great sense of humour.
He was also an avid Washington Redskins fan for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry L. Schein, brother, Calvin Schein, nieces, Sharon, Cheryl and Cindy and Nephews, Jeffrey and Daniel. He was pre-deceased by a son, Michael Schein.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 9 to 11 AM with Prayer service starting at 11 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Reading. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
