I had the privilege of taking care of Mary for the last year and a half. She will always have a special place in my heart. She made me laugh. She made me cry. She made me a better nurse. She certainly gave me a run for my money. I will forever miss Mary and seeing her family. May she rest in peace in God's loving arms.

Thank you Margaret! She loved you! She spoke about you all the time! We truly appreciate it!

If I had to create an epitaph for our mom, it surely would be "it's my way or no way." Many people in this world are followers, but mom was certainly a leader, and in a lane by herself with no competition. I know that I question many of the decisions that I've made in my life, and often say if I just had a second chance, I would make some big changes in the plans. But I don't remember Mom ever saying if she could do it over, she would have taken a different path. Anyone who knew her for even five minutes, would agree that she was a force of nature to be reckoned with. Rest in peace Mom, and keep everyone up there in line. You are loved and missed like crazy.

When I was very small, I fell in front of the Evans Street Side walk. Stitches. Scuffed my nose up on the steps, Skinned my knee and leg riding a bike down the alley. I am sure this is the reason she always called me patches! When she lived down at the apartment, on I think York...She had figurines of Bulls and Matadors, and beaded curtains...She was so mad at an upstairs neighbor who dumped a cleaning bucket out a window right down on my head. It was the only time I remember seeing her mad.
I found out she liked my Mom's Peanut Butter Eggs. So though Mom was recovering from her open heart surgery, together we made some. Sent them up to Mary.
These treasured memories, will always warm my heart. Though some of them weren't very pleasant, they are, in some twisted way.
Larry and I were inseparable growing up! We shared everything...Our Mom's, Our Pets, Our interests, and so much more! Connie though she was much younger, we played with Barbie's a lot! Joe and Pam were our Dad's mechanic helpers. We all would play kick ball in the Alley. We were neighbors, but best friends.
My Heart goes out to each and every one of you! Those I've known all my life and those I have never met!

Nan.... I know that you know how much we loved and stil love you! It's definitely not gonna ever be the same without you. I'm gonna miss you something TERRIBLE but I hold onto all the memories! Your beehive hairstyles, your ALWAYS moving furniture every week, your fake flowers all over the place! Making your coleslaw, baking cookies, making homemade Easter eggs, cleaning that Baer building all those years ago! Please keep watching us from the highest of the heavens! We love you and gonna miss you so much! Rest peacefully my queen!

Mom loved the Hazel family...and the girls were special to her. The nicknames that were given meant to be comical and enduring. Neighborhoods like ours are a thing of the past, sadly. We sincerely cared about each other and would lend a helping hand when needed.
